How it's kept up to date
When an official source page changes, the matching record is checked and its date updated. There is no user-generated content and no message board — nothing on this site is anonymous hearsay.
Right now the whole directory has 51 services. Of those, 2 are marked “not fully verified” — we've published our best understanding but couldn't fully confirm them from an official source, so they carry a visible caveat. We'd rather flag our uncertainty than pretend.
Sources & methodology
For each service we identify the responsible body, then link the specific official page it comes from. Primary sources include:
- Shropshire Council (unitary authority — most services; reporting via FixMyStreet)
- Shifnal Town Council (local amenities and some streetlights)
- West Mercia Police (crime and anti-social behaviour)
- Severn Trent (water and sewerage)
- National energy & gas networks (power cuts via 105; gas emergencies via 0800 111 999 / Cadent)
- Environment Agency and the NHS Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin ICB, National Highways and Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service
A note on one live detail: Shropshire Council is migrating its website from
